Abstract
  • This dissertation-project is an investigation of the collective history of the post-war generation including events and philosophies impacting the baby boomers and their responses. Both members of the generation and their observers and critics are used as resources. Based on these and the author's own case studies, a proposal is presented regarding long-term counseling of this age cohort. The post-war generation is found to be in mid-life crisis and very open to and in need of spiritual guidance. Warm long-term mentoring in personally knowing God is the antidote presented.
