Abstract
  • This paper explores the meaning of power: how the people of God understand power. This paper focuses on the image of God and the experiences of power presented in the worship service in liturgy and preaching, as they impact the lives of the participants. To do this one must provide alternative images of power, to widen one's comprehension of God. the study uses surveys and discussion groups to evaluate the results. Shifts in understanding of power were small and took time, but the greater an individual's involvement in preparing liturgy and sermons, the greater the impact of the project.
