Abstract
  • The needs of military families are great. The long work hours, frequent deployments, and the constant threat of war create a continuous stress. An Army chaplain is challenged to meet family needs in the midst of these difficult circumstances. This project looks at today's American family both sociologically and theologically. It then goes on to explain a four-pronged program for military families. The program addresses the emotional/relational needs, social/physical needs, family/spiritual needs, and the social/spiritual needs of battalion families.
