- Abstract
- This project was designed to address the spirituality of lay leaders in the West Elkton United Methodist Church in West Elkton, Ohio. Seven structured sessions were developed and implemented dealing with the topics: prayer, the Word of God, fasting, how to grow in faith, praise and worship, love one another, and the dynamics of witnessing. Lay leaders were trained to teach the topics. parallel with the topics we designed a devotional journal '50-Day Journey to the Mountaintop with Jesus.' Results of the model were evaluated by qualitative analysis instruments, which show an increase of their spiritual life.
