Abstract
  • This project responds to the need to develop a supportive ministry to adults in a congregational setting who are relating to older persons. The aim was to generate new knowledge about these needs by developing a support group. Qualitative research methodology was used, and the data generated in the eight group sessions identified the need of participants to talk about their concerns related to death and dying and to grief and bereavement; the need to deal with anger and guilt; and to focus on problems related to safety, institutionalization, quality of care, and attitudes toward aging.
