Abstract
  • This paper examines how to attract that segment of Generation X that does not attend church, yet remains open to the possibility. The author created a program that employed a lecture series format incorporating techniques not usually used within church outreach programs, presented in an interactive, casual style, using a 'soft sell' approach. The program revealed that these people can be reached spiritually. Their reliance on story and relationship precludes the use of any formulaic approach. A church employing such a program must be truly ready for them to have a realistic chance of entering into fellowship.
