Abstract
  • This project is designed to involve a majority of active adult church members in research, study, observation, action, theological reflection, and implementation of the church's mission. The first goal of the project is to formulate a mission statement. This statement will give evidence of interaction among the needs of the church, the needs of the community, and the church's understanding of God's unique calling for this congregation. The second goal of the project is to implement the mission statement. The implementation will give evidence of meeting a concrete, specific missional need in the church or community. Implementation of the mission statement formulated in this process is dynamic and will never be fully completed.
