Abstract

The project evolved from the question: 'In light of environmental data on humanity's consequential effects, how can the church develop or change core values within society to result in a sustainable balance within the interrelated confines of Earth?' The hypothesis was that I could design and teach a Vacation Bible School theme on stewardship of all creation. The project was based on the action research model. The hypothesis was proven correct. Children could learn to respect and care for all of creation using a curriculum based on Jesus' teaching about loving our neighbors in the parable of the Good Samaritan.
