Abstract
  • The project's intention was to expand the theological concept of faith to build a program of spiritual formation for Unitarian Universalists. Research included an online survey, interviews, and workshops. The project concluded that faith must necessarily include trust, loyalty, and worldview in addition to belief. It was also concluded that Unitarian Universalism has a rich heritage that encourages a theology of uncertainty, local and global commitments, and a generous view of humanity and God as essentially good. All this contributes to its potential and can encourage a pursuit of complexity in language and meaning with regards to faith.
