- Abstract
- Project is to identify a lay pastoral ministry model of the elderly members of the Floresville United Methodist Church. Floresville UMC has a vast reservoir of elderly members who have talents, knowledge, wisdom, and experience which are not being used for lay pastoral ministry. Resourcing their ministry is the challenge. Taped interviews, personal visits, survey instruments, influence statements and reminiscings of the doctoral candidate undergird the continuity and personal meaning theories in this gerontological research. The research method was planning, action, evaluation, writing and defense phases and was in progress for seven years.
