Abstract
  • A premise of this project is that Christians must learn how to receive as well as give care. Inappropriate reception or resistance to the care given by others results from a misunderstanding about the nature of faith. A training program is designed which enables persons to understand how to receive care. The author tests the program on twelve selected members of his congregation. A refined version is being used to train every member in mutual care. When persons become aware of the basic caring skills and a theology of receiving they are able to care in mutual support.
