Abstrakt

The purpose of this project was to equip selected pastors and staff of Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, with leadership-coaching competencies. I researched and identified key leadership-coaching competencies from various organizations that could be used to equip the staff. Relevant competencies were then selected based on research, staff surveys, and contextual needs. Training modules were created using the selected competencies. Finally, I equipped pastors and staff, utilizing the developed training modules, with methods that allowed them to develop and practice leadership-coaching competencies. There were three project goals and two professional goals. The assessment of these goals involved feedback from expert evaluators, such as Dr. Donna Stewart and Dr. Jay Howell. The project’s completion was based on products such as the annotated bibliography, competencies matrix, staff surveys, pretests, curriculum modules, and posttests.
