Abstract
  • The project arises from the need to provide support for stepfamily adults and the need to integrate stepfamilies into the church. Cecile Currier in her book Learning to Step Together (1982) reports that there are 1300 new stepfamilies forming every day in America. The question is, What is the church doing to help stepfamilies? Stepfamily adults gathered to form a support group dealing with loyalty conflicts, ex-spousal issues, discipline, strengthening the marriage relationship and others. Important to the course is the Bible study material relating to the subject matter being discussed. Evaluating tools and informal discussions confirm that profitability of the course.
