- This project thesis sought to test how the church enables and facilitates urban church leadership in the task of prophetic organizing and community empowerment. Prophetic organizing is the effort to bring to bear the total resources of church, community and nations upon the task of building communities of shalom with economic justice. The methodology employed was an ethnographic, participant-observer approach, utilizing a descriptive and autobiographical writing style. Prophetic organizing has been the attempt to implement a new paradigm of resourcing in urban ministry and mission coordination. Prophetic organizing and mission coordination is greatly enhanced through coalition-building and teamwork.
