Abstract
  • Mainline Protestant churches in the United States have been experiencing dramatic decline in membership and financial resources over the last thirty-five years. many, including the Wollaston Congregational Church United Church of Christ, have found ways to turnaround their church and experience hope for the future through a new vitality. I used the phenomenological research method to document the living experience of ten members, proving that not every declining church is destined to die. This paper will help pastors and congregations to look at their church with fresh eyes through this turnaround church process.
