Abstract
  • God's plan for our work provides preaching and teaching resources for pastors and lay leaders who want to help parishioners integrate as seamlessly as possible their world of work with their life of faith. Following up on responses from leaders at denominational conferences, the thesis research and the sermon series address from a Wesleyan theological perspective the problem of a work life disconnected from one's worship. It explores the biblical view of human work as a core concern of Christian discipleship, suggests how our own work mirrors God's creative work, and offers possibilities for shaping one's occupation in vocational ways.
