Abstract
  • This project in ministry is a retreat program designed for members of the Cursillo Movement, a lay movement geared towards intensive conversion. This retreat is to reintensify the community life in a Catholic parish. Methods of study included: 1) Research on the theological understanding of community life in the parish and on the essence and goals of the Cursillo Movement; and 2) Implementation and evaluation of the retreat model designed on the basis of the research. The study concludes that it is necessary to: 1) devise better methods to motivate Cursillistas to attend retreat/recollection, and 2) strengthen the group bond among Cursillistas and motivate them to reach out to other groups within and outside the parish.
