Abstract
  • This project was designed to integrate biblical studies and religious education. The objectives of this project are threefold: 1) It is designed to create a biblically based hermeneutic that utilizes the guidelines of scripture, tradition, experience, and reason; 2) The Bethel Series and the Trinity Bible Studies are evaluated in the light of this hermeneutic. The evaluation of these series involved the compiling and comparing of questionnaires administered to a class using The Bethel Series and one using the Trinity Bible Series. Also, interviews were held with the ministers who taught the courses; 3) The author seeks to determine the stage(s) of faith development expressed in each of the series as well as his own stage.
