Abstract
  • This thesis-project probes two central aspects of the charisma and mission [of] John Baptist de La Salle and his first Brothers established by the listening to the Holy Spirit. In this study, the aim is to analyze and affirm the corresponding relationship between the commitment to education in fiath and the promotion of justice in Lasallian education and evagnelization today. The testimony of the original Lesallian educational model, the contemporary canon of Lasallian texts, and the lived reality in God's mission field reveals the proper relation between education and justice in the Lesallian idiom. Based on analysis of historical context, correunt praxis, educaitonal philosophy, curricular theory, and theological positions, this thesis-project propses a new horizon for Lasallian education and evangelization toward bearing witness to the values of the reign of God.
