Abstract
  • Since God's heart is for his church to be perpetuated into the future and all humans will die, leadership transitions are inevitable. How well that transition takes place depends on the preparation for it. This dissertation project argues that there are attitudes and perspectives about church leadership that if they are in place and being lived out will make a leadership transition in a local church as seamless as possible. The author examines the issues related to successful transitions and proposes a process that should make such a transition more likely to be successful.
