- Abstract
- The project assisted in the formation of new volunteer chaplaincy programs for local hospitals and to offer research and insight for existing programs. The project sought through training seminars to focus on the needs of hospital patients and staff and to enable chaplains to be more effective ministers in the hospital setting. The manual contains biblical and theological bases for a volunteer chaplaincy program. Methodology consisted of working with a group of volunteer chaplains and nursing staff for training and evaluation and empahsizing the role of team work in wholistic health care.
