Abstract
  • This project proposes that church-based small groups designed to encourage spiritual transformation through inductive Bible study offer great hope for permanent, positive change among men. Drawing on study of men's movements organized by Robert Bly and Promise Keepers, the project conducts leadership training for men, developing a series of small-group study guides based on the life and ministry of Simon Peter and aimed at spiritual transformation. These efforts appeal to men more than 40 years old, who participate in order to establish a closer walk with God and to experience fellowship with one another. These small groups open the door to many expressions of social renewal.
