Abstrakt

The purpose of this project was to develop a disciple-making strategy for Promise Land Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida. Despite previous programs, the church lacked a clear, long-term process for making disciples. Through the project, I aimed to define a biblical understanding of a disciple, establish a biblical basis for disciplemaking, and research best practices. In phase one, I researched relevant materials to identify these best practices and assessed the congregation’s diverse needs and spiritual maturity levels. In phase two, I collaborated with the strategy development team to develop a comprehensive and tailored disciple-making strategy designed to inform and equip every ministry context within Promise Land to make disciples. In phase three, once finalized, I presented the strategy to the deacons, lay leadership, and congregation, outlining its biblical foundations and seeking their affirmation. The goal was to equip the church to fulfill Christ’s Great Commission and embody the obedience commanded therein, ensuring a sustainable approach to disciple-making for every generation.
