- Abstract
- The purpose of this project was to increase the understanding and appreciation of worship at Warren Woods Baptist Church. Chapter one introduced the project, providing background on the church and explaining the research methodology employed. Chapters two and three were the heart of the project. Chapter two explored the biblical, historical and theological issues in worship. Two specific biblical texts (Isaiah 6 and John 4) were studied to consider the biblical call to worship. Chapter looked at the contemporary worship scene, coming to the conclusion that a fresh approach to worship is needed today. Chapters four and five outlined the actual work done in the project. The four sermons and worship services, as well as the response of the church to them, were central. The project concluded with an evaluation and assessment of lessons learned from the project.
