- Abstract
- This project proposes to restore a Christian spirituality rooted in community, arguing that this community-based spirituality can enrich the lives of all who journey in it. Study of Scripture, classical theology, and the work of modern Christian writers reveals that community-based spirituality lies at the core of historic Christianity, but an emphasis on individualism has often distorted and corrupted it. American society struggles with a sense of loss of community and spirituality.
