Abstract
  • This project proposes and implements a model for supervision of mentors of probationary clergy--pastors in their first three years of ministry--in the Western New York Conference of the United Methodist Church. Following initial training, the project assigns a partner to each mentor; the mentor-partners provide feedback, support, and accountability to each other through peer supervision. Mentors are able to reflect on supervision of probationers with colleagues participating in the same supervisory ministry.
