Abstract
  • Small group ministry fits within the context of Lutheran theology and fills a necessary role in helping to change a congregation's culture from a pastoral-sized church to a program-sized church. This project aimed, especially, to prepare a team in the congregation for leadership of a new small group ministry. The leadership training was formatted as a small group experience so that participants with no prior involvement in a small group both learned leadership skills and grew in appreciation of small group dynamics. The research design included participation evaluation and measurements of participants' confidence.
