Abstract
  • Discipleship is to be directed by preaching. The discipleship in this project is a culmination of research in the Bible, a survey of historical and contemporary literature, the surveying of two para-church collegiate ministries and two local churches, along with the feedback of a focus group. Discipleship is found to be personal dedication to a lifelong, intergenerational journey with a local church. The preaching ministry is gifted by Jesus to accomplish three main goals: 1) works of service, 2) unity in the faith, and 3) knowledge of the Son of God (Eph 4:11-13). A series of messages is included.
