- Abstract
- This project proposes that Christians are required to discern what God is doing in giving birth to a new church that will call them to build fellowship with the poor and maginalized people in society. A ministry of spiritual direction and covenantal, accountable discipleship encourages such discernment, and an ethical critique of the resulting practice fosters consciousness of variables that influence choices and determine the practice of ministry. Such consciousness enhances discipleship, promotes church renewal, and stimulates personal, ecclesial, and social transformation.
