Abstract
  • This project was designed to investigate the possible benefits of incorporating a descriptive personality sort into the process of the pastor's pre-marital counseling. The theological implications of marriage as covenant are explored in order to give a solid rationale for expanding and intensifying the pastor's work with engaged couples. The report outlines how the 'Myers-Briggs Personality Type Inventory' has been helpful in promoting understanding between couples and how this basic tool can be incorporated into the process of pre-marital counseling. The project found positive results when couples were introduced to a descriptive language for understanding and discussing personality differences.
