- Abstract
- The thesis of this dissertation is that teaching historical theology is an effective method of concluding a one-year curriculum in biblical studies. The research method was program development. A lecture manual was developed and used to teach historical theology as a concluding class in a ten-month curriculum. A test was developed and administered to the students. The lectures were presented and the students were tested again afterward. Once the lectures were completed, the students were interviewed in focus groups. The results confirmed that the students had a better grasp of theological issues and concepts than they had had before the concluding course.
