- Abstract
- This thesis examines whether there is something in the Filipino culture that has affected the way Filipino men respond to leadership challenges and responsibilities. The author traces the historical, cultural, and other significant factors that have influenced Filipino men and their leadership development. He also points out practices in the Roman Catholic religion and in the Protestant mission groups that have contributed to the lack of Filipino male leaders in the Philippine Christian church. The author then proceeds to take a fresh look at what the Scripture says about evangelism and church growth. He then attempts to apply these qualities in the Philippine cultural context. Practical propositions and a sample plan conclude this project.
