  • This project explores nineteenth-century American poet Emily Dickinson's encounter with the Divine and offers an invitation to dialogue with a voice continually searching for God, a mind wrestling with God and refusing to accept untested answers. Through the analysis of theological themes in Dickinson's poetry, the readers enters into a conversation with this unconventional poet whose questioning and deep probing have relevance for the contemporary Church. This project is written in the form of a reflective theological thesis that invites the reader to enter into a dialogue that will encourage sharing and the exploration of contemporary theological issues.
