Abstract
  • There are many communities in New England that, because of tourism, are seasonal in nature. During non-tourist season, they are small, quiet hamlets. During tourist season they are crowded, noisy resorts. Churches in these communities are faced with the challenges ministering year round in two totally different cultural contexts. This paper examines the unique dynamics of such, communities, focusing specifically on Ogunquit Maine as a case study. Through research, survey and observation, a paradigm for ministry is proposed and methods of implementation illustrated.
