- The thesis-project presents a five day colloquium designed to help preachers preach audience-oriented biblical sermons. Using an adult education model, the project seeks to help participants apply selected skills for effective sermon preparation and communication. These skills include understanding communication theories, creating effective introductions and conclusions, using effective illustrations, helping audience apply biblical truths and creating memorable messages. Chapter one establishes the need for skilled communicators. Chapter two reflects on the theology of preaching and the biblical basis for effective communication. Chapter three reviews published works in communication, preaching, adult learning and Asian culture. Chapter four focuses on the project and chapter five offers the researcher's conclusions and recommendations.
