Abstract
  • After surveying the literature on worship during biblical times, subsequent Christian history, and the church life of the Southern Baptists and Malaysian Baptists, as well as consulting with the Malaysian Baptist clergy and laypersons and dialoguing with the students at the Baptist Theological Seminary, Malaysia, the writer attempted to relate and introduce, with attention given to the Malaysian context and situation, the issues of social concerns and contextualization to Malaysian Baptist worship life in an acceptable manner. The writer finds that both social concerns and contextualization are essential characteristics of Christian worship.
