Abstract
  • The dialogue between science and Christianity is not new. However, during the last decade advances in genetic technology have brought this dialogue to the attention of millions of church members who are not professional scientists or theologians. This project seeks to provide a means for congregations to grapple with the ethical and theological concerns raised by new genetic technologies. The project first identifies a few broad-based convictions inherent in the prevailing worldview and compares and contrasts this with Christian worldview. This study provides an opportunity for Christians to study issues like: genetic testing and screening, stem cell research, reproductive technologies, cloning, etc.
