Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to discover the ways in which a select group of people from Pittsfield Community Church in Pittsfield, Ohio, experience God as heavenly father. The premise was that people who go to church do not necessarily experience God as heavenly father in their personal lives. A self-selected group of fifty participants provided the data from a Likert scale questionnaire along with some open-ended questions. The results showed that participants experiences of God as heavenly father generated positive emotions. These emotions resulted in the expressions of personal happiness, joy, and assurance of God's felt love.
