  • This thesis explores the homiletical use of images and their role in the transformation of the hearers' understanding of ministry. The research project consists of eight parishioners' responses to six imagistic sermons. The researcher concludes that the use of image plays a significant role in the transformation of the hearers and the preacher. He suggets that while the use of images is one key in the transformational process, opportunity for sermon reflection is also important. The thesis ends with the author highlighting four issues regarding image, including manipulation and the craft of storytelling, that warrant further investigation.
