Abstract
  • Entering the contemporary debate of worship experience and practice, the author analyzes and evaluates the value of biblical symbols to the worship encounter. By engaging the challenging question, 'What characteristic power is present in a symbol that captivates the mind of a believer and transforms the heart of a person who is ready to see and able to percieve?' the study calls for a return to the historical use of Christian symbolism in the nurturing of faith.
