Abstract

Jesus gave a mandate to the church to reach all peoples. Yet, some long established congregations find themselves in a state of decline with a community demographic that is different from the membership of the church. These congregations have not adjusted in order to reach their neighbors. Park Place Baptist Church is such a congregation. While the membership is open to the people of the community, the need exists for the church to prepare to reach the people. The project director led a study group through a series of sessions to help prepare the church to reach its community.
