Abstract
  • Just as things can and should be done to help a baby have a healthy birth, so there are things that can and should be done to bring about the healthiest possible birth of a new congregation. A CD of PowerPoint presentations form a planning process starting with the initial conception of a new Presbyterian church up to the first service, defined as 'instant church.' An accompanying form addresses crucial issues in light of a specific context. Testing suggests the CD is best used by a team over the initial months of formation rather than a singular viewing for content.
