- Abstract
- This project evaluated the effectiveness of the Sunday school program of First Southern Baptist Church, Terre Haute, Indiana, to determine its place in an overall disciple-making strategy. The program was evaluated on the basis of three identifying marks of discipleship set forth in the gospel of John: abiding in Jesus' word, loving one another, and bearing fruit. An evaluation team was formed from church leadership to survey Sunday school participants to determine the program's effectiveness in terms of the above three distinctives. Afterward the team analyzed the survey results and recommended a plan of action to the church to improve the disciple-making intentionality of the program.
