- Abstract
- This project hypothesized that clinical pastoral education students generate increased physiological responses on the skin in response to specific statements on the Clinical Ministry Assessement Profile. Six CPE students were attached to appropriate amplifiers and a personal computer both administered the statements of the profile and recorded the physiological responses. As hypothesized, students created increased physiological responses to particular profile statements which were stressful to them. These physiological data sometimes 1) confirmed the student's self-knowledge, or 2) made the student aware of anxieties about ministry which had previously escaped his or her notice.
