Abstract
  • The author considered whether a land-locked, ethnically homogeneous church which had experienced modest but steady growth over a ten-year period can grow numerically and be more representative of the people of God who were moving into the communities around it. The channel for this church reaching out was determined to be worship. The result was, that if the church and its leaders can embrace the border people now living around it, and adapt to reach out to these people, then such a church can attract new people, younger people, and more diverse people by creating a new worship service.
