Abstract
  • The purpose of the project was to design a program to elicit active participation of the deacons and their spouses in grief ministry, to provide them with tools necessary for providing the ministry, and to implement the ministry in Glascock County. Research for the project utilized books, periodicals, journals, videocassettes, and audiocassettes on the subjects of death, grief, funerals, counseling, deacons, and teaching methods. The grief ministry program consisted of twelve, one-hour sessions which included pretests and posttests. The purpose of the project was achieved.
