Abstract
  • This project utilized a case study format to explore the development of an effective discipleship process in a suburban evangelical congregation. The project's results were derived from a combination of research of the Bible and theological texts, investigation of contemporary Christian literature pertaining to discipeship, onsite field research and interviews conducted with other evangelical churches, and interviews, discussions, and a formal survey conducted at the primary reserach site. The project developed three recommendations for the leaders of the subject congregation; a detailed philosophy of discipleship, a structured adult discipleship process, and a communication plan to inform the congregation.
