Abstract
  • The goal of this project is to explore the challenge of communicating the gospel in a way that reaches a very diverse and continually changing American community. The multi-sensory sermon-event is born out of Christ's mandate to preach to all nations and our call to love the Lord with our whole self. It gives equal consideration to context and text, content and presentation. After considering the current cultural climate and effective appropriation techniques, a preaching model incorporating multi-sensory words, imagery, and acts was developed. Finally, this writer's premise was found to be primarily Wesleyan in its approach.
