- The project begins with a study of biblical and theological materials on evangelism, followed by a review of the literature on the history of Chinese migration and the socio-economic setting of Chinese communities. Research into the process of Indochinese migration into Australia also is included. A survey was conducted among churches in Sydney to discover the distinctive elements of Chinese evangelism. A training program was developed based on the findings. This program was tested and retested. The most appropriate method of evangelism for the Chinese-speaking Vietnamese migrants is found to be visitation evangelism.
