  • 'Developing a team for strategic enrollment management at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary' is a project which is designed to do the following: build team relationships among staff members in enrollment services offices; train team members in concepts and fundamentals of strategic enrollment management; cross-train employees between offices; coordinate work processes; improve enrollment services to students through process mapping; develop a plan for strategic enrollment management to be presented to administrators; coordinate budgets between offices for better stewardship; present a plan for a 'one-stop student services center' for the enrollment functions of the campus. Exercises in team building, goal setting, process mapping, surveys, brain-storm and planning sessions will be used with team members. Research and information from visits to observe other strategic enrollment management plans will provide valuable input. The project will not be complete without a plan for assessment and improvement on a routine basis. The long-term goal is for seminary administrators to approve of the strategic enrollment plan developed by the team and to allocate physical space and financial resources for a 'student services center' where the latest technological approaches to enrollment services can be utilized in a friendly, student centered atmosphere. Benefits to Southwestern will include improved enrollment and retention rates, improved attitudes and morale among staff and students and a positive budget impact.
